In 2008, Alarice released her debut EP, ‘Songs for a Season’ which she recorded in Melbourne Australia with producer Brad Evans (Human Nature, Guy Sebastian). As an independent artist, 23 year old Alarice has already managed a sold-out tour in the East, with stops including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Hong Kong having sold over 3000 copies within 6 months. “I’m not waiting around for that magic recording contract, I know at this day and age, it’s important for the artist to be proactive, hard-working and entrepreneurial in how we deliver our music” says Alarice.
Recently at Nashville’s GMA Immerse Conference in the United States, Alarice’s single ‘Colour’ was recognised as one of the top ten songs of the year in GMA’s prestigious songwriting competition. This led to a radio deal, with Alarice’s song ‘Colour’ receiving international radio airplay across 105 radio stations around the globe. Now back in Sydney, Australia, Alarice has been busy in the studio recording for her NEW album ‘Sunday Afternoon’ at the renown Grove Studios (Delta Goodrem, Missy Higgins) at the Central Coast with producer Andy Mak (New Empire, Candice Casagrande). With 6 fully produced guitar & piano driven tracks, expect the fresh sounds of Colbie Caillat coupled with the deep and reflective songwriting of Corrinne May. Alarice’s album ‘Sunday Afternoon’ is hot off the press and is sure to be loved.
